Why not update your old furniture?
 This is our dining table we bought about 4 years ago. The varnish was wearing off the top and it just didn't suit our taste anymore. We stripped it back and found beautiful timber underneath on the bench seats, routed the legs on the table, made new legs for the benches, sprayed it in Resene Alabaster, gave the timber two coats of clear satin stain and its looking like a brand new dining set! We reused everything includeing the old bench seat legs which we are staining also, and using as hot food boards to protect the table. NO WASTE, love it and ALOT cheaper than buying something new. Our next project is to redo our bedroom suite, will post some pictures soon! |
